Englewood: Armed robberies reported, Chicago police say


Police are warning South Side residents of armed robberies reported in May and June in Englewood.

In each case, one or two people approached someone, threatened them with a handgun and demanded their property, Chicago police said in a community alert.

The robberies happened:

About 1:30 a.m. May 25 in the 1600 block of West 62nd Street;
About 12:25 a.m. June 11 in the 6100 block of South Ashland Avenue; and
About 4:40 a.m. June 19 in the 1500 block of West 60th Street.
